Production Team - Gary Hartung
Gary Hartung began his audio career while attending Long Beach State University as a Radio, TV, Film student in 1986. He worked as a production assistant at KLON FM-88.1 (now KKJZ) moved on to technical director for Marketplace, a national daily public radio business program. Soon he became Production Manager for KLON and managed all news production and engineered/produced all music events, primarily the Long Beach Blues Festival. In 1993 he was the technical director for the Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach, CA and designed the sound system for the theater. The system was installed by Sound Image of Escondido, CA under his direction. Soon thereafter, he went to work for Sound Image where he’s been a touring engineer for the last 13 years. The highlights of his touring career at Sound Image are Front of House sound mixer for Crosby, Stills and Nash, Mary Chapin-Carpenter and Pat Benatar, who he is currently on tour with as sound mixer and production manager. When not on the road, he resides in San Diego.
