Production Team - Tamara Gurbis

Tamara Gurbis has been working professionally in film and video for the past twelve years. After travelling in Eastern and Western Europe where she studied and collaborated with other filmmakers from Russia’s VGIK film school, she moved to New York City in 1997. There, she formed her own freelance business working primarily as camera operator and director of photography on various broadcast programs, documentaries, experimental, commercial and fashion videos, as well as a couple of feature films. She has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in camera technique at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. She relocated to the San Francisco Bay area in 2004, and currently also focuses her time working as a DVD author and editor.
